(The last month in Korea & plans for June/July)
- The time has come to leave Korea after almost
2 years in Seoul. It's been a great experience and the
Korean people have been very kind and hospitable. In every
nomads life though, there comes a time to move on.
In the last month we decided to visit the 'Children's
Grand Park' - which is a park specially made for children,
with the original idea being that the park would help
promote education for children. Below (left) is a picture
of a painter selling his ink paintings, which portray
traditional Korean symbols and stories. Below right, is
a picture taken from the roof of my workplace in Seoul,
Pagoda Tower. The place where our apartment was in mid-right

If you look closely at the picture below left,
you will notice that the animals are actually made
up of plates and saucers. The animals in the photo
below right, are made up of bottles of coloured water.
We took these pictures in the Chinese section of the
Children's Park.
On leaving Korea, a few parties were held. Below left,
Valeria with her University students as we dined out.
Valeria worked for many months in one of the National
Universities in Seoul, as a professeur of Italian. On
the right, a picture of a few of us as we sat drinking
in the sun, inthe area of Itwaeon, Korea.
Love it or hate it, you have to go once to a baseball
game. On a Sunday afternoon we visitied a LG Twins game, one
of the Seoul teams and they played SK. Baseball was invented
in England but none of my American friends will accept this,
instead referring to an American who later adapted the game.
After watching Cricket several times, it was also hard to
accept
that baseball players were big fat gloves to catch the ball.
Valeria was delighted that the game didn't end in a draw and
thus get extended.
