The first big event that Valeria and I attended on
our return to England, from living in Barcelona, was
the 'BBC Proms in the Park' on 8th September in Hyde
Park, London. Valeria loves classical music, hence I
agreed to be dragged along to the annual event. 'Proms
in the Park' is a concert in Hyde Park, London, which
runs parallel to the 'Last night of the Proms (the final
concert which closes the classical music season in the
UK. Joining us at the concert also, was our good friend
Louise Dickinson. Below a picture from the concert and
on the right, a picture of myself and Valeria.

At the end of September Valeria attended
an International Belly Dance Congress in Butlins at Bognor
Regis, in the south of England. Valeria spent a weekend
in what was heaven for belly dancers, with belly dance
workshops and shows. If you are interested in more information
about the Belly Dance Congress, take a look at Valeria’s
belly dance website. Below Valeria with fellow belly
dancers Barbara and Rachel while they wait for the show
to start and, on the right, Valeria on the dance floor.
On our return to Bristol, England, from
Spain, we moved into an apartment right on Whiteladies
Road in Clifton, one of the nicest areas of Bristol. The
photos below show the view from the living room in our
apartment at different times of the day.
In October, Valeria and I went to see the Rugby World
Cup quarter-final match between France and New Zealand,
at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. We went
with my friend Mike Hall from Cardiff and my brother
in law Mark. In the photo below on the left, Valeria
is tackling me and on the right New Zealand fans.
The photos below show the massive Severn Bridge, which
links England and Wales. Valeria took the pictures while
I was driving to Cardiff for the rugby game.
Below another picture of Whiteladies
Road seen from our apartment and, on the right, Valeria
and I, at our friends, Tall Paul Cartlidge and Emma’s
wedding. Tall Paul (a friend from university) and his
fiancée Emma got married, in a small village
called Woburn, near Milton Keynes.
Below Valeria and I with the glowing
prizes that our table won at the wedding reception and,
on the right, friends Tall Paul and Emma ‘signing
their lives away’.
