Between spring and summer 2010, we have been to Italy twice, Portugal and South of France and done some short trips in the UK. Among the short trips in the UK, in August we have been to the Big Chill Music Festival in Eastnor, UK, a village famous for its castle. After visiting Glastonbury Music Festival, the Big Chill was an anti-climax (if you chose one festival choose Glastonbury)! We did though experience a truly British rainbow as seen below.

Our April visit to Sicily coincided with Valeria's unofficial school reunion (meeting her high school friends for the first time in 20 years). Having come across from the UK, I also attended and made myself useful by taking some group pictures of the school mates. In the picture around the table at a pizzeria on the Etna, from the left: Manuela, Angela (hidden behind Manuela), Liliana, Marianna, Marco, Domenico, Pietro, Valeria, Paolo and Fabrizio. In the second picture from the left: Manuela, Angela and Liliana.
Below another photo of the reunion with, from the left: Paolo, Fabrizio, Marco (who, at the time, was a month away from becoming a father for the first time) and Manuela.
For Valeria’s birthday we went to Southampton to visit one of P&O Cruise ships the Oceans, for one of the open days. The visits include a guided tour of the boat and a three course meal and an interesting experience if you are new to cruising and thinking of trying out this form of travel.
In addition to travelling, Valeria and I have been working on our websites and developing new business ideas. I have been updating my travel sites, which needed revamping (see Plymouth Devon 4u.co.uk) on the left. Valeria, on the other hand, has started a translation business (English to Italian and vice versa).
Last but not least, our friend Cattie (a cat belonging to one of our neighbours) has kept coming to see us as she has since we moved to the house in Cardiff. She loves cardboard boxes and, no matter how small they are, she will always try to cuddle up inside one of them.
